50 Videos Most Repeatedly Recommended in Hacker News Discussions

This ranking uses the HackerTube October 31, 2026 data export. It is based on recurring positive recommendations, not YouTube views, likes or a claim that every Hacker News reader agrees.

How the ranking works

Each video receives one point for every distinct month containing a positive recommendation, plus half a point for every distinct month containing a strong recommendation. Repeated mentions during the same month do not repeatedly increase the score.

This approach favors videos that people returned to over time. It also gives older videos more opportunity to accumulate recommendations, so the ranking is a historical discovery tool rather than an objective measure of quality.
